Varanasi, in the Northeast of India, is the holiest of the seven sacred Hindu cities.
Here, on the banks of the holy Ganges River, we started a small, no-tuition primary school for underprivileged children.
Since its inauguration in 2008, the school made many upgrades to its facilities, and in 2015 was certified by the Indian government as an official private elementary school.
As of this year, there are around 50 students attending Mother Baby School.
